A web developer is a professional who designs, builds, and maintains websites and web applications. They ensure that the website functions properly, is user-friendly, and works across different devices and browsers. Web developers use a combination of coding, design, and technical skills to bring websites to life.

There are three main types of web developers:

Front-End Developer: Focuses on the part of a website that users interact with, such as layout, design, and functionality. They use languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create an intuitive and visually appealing user experience.

Back-End Developer: Works on the server side of a website, ensuring that databases, servers, and applications function smoothly. They manage the "behind-the-scenes" parts of a website using languages like Python, Ruby, PHP, or Node.js.

Full-Stack Developer: Combines both front-end and back-end development skills. They are capable of building a complete website or application from start to finish, handling both the user interface and the underlying functionality.

Web developers also often collaborate with web designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to ensure the website meets both the client’s and the users’ needs.
